Government. Non-profit management. Communications. Law. Arts and education. Business. There were experts from such fields and more at the “SUccess in the City: Alumni Networking Event” on Thursday, June 17, at the Hotel Monaco, in downtown Washington, D.C.

Whether attendees were looking for career guidance or looking to share their recommendations and experiences with other alums, the event provided a great opportunity for for the Orange network in the D.C.-metropolitan area to connect and reconnect.

About 200 attendees and mentors were able to mingle and interact with one another, as well as with individuals in their specific fields of interest/expertise.  In addition, this year’s SUccess in the City highlighted a new component: the Resource Room.  Here, attendees of all backgrounds and experience took advantage of resume-critiquing stations, information on “Getting to Know D.C.” for newcomers, and a table to get involved with the SU Alumni Club of Washington, D.C., and local Capital Alumni Network (CAN).

Business cards were exchanged.  Connections were made.  We look forward to seeing you again at next year’s event – for a peek into the nite, make sure you check out the pictures here.  See you at SUccess in the City 2011!
